Digidesign Mbox®2 is
a next-generation USB-powered audio/MIDI production system that
builds on the performance and simplicity of the original Mbox -
Digidesign’s most popular personal studio product
ever.
The Mbox
2 is a compact USB powered unit with the capability of 4x2
simultaneous channels of I/O on analog, digital and MIDI
connections but still retains the easy operation of the original
Mbox. The original Mbox changed the way songwriters, DJs, studio
mixers, and post production engineers created and produced music.
Mbox 2 delivers professional performance which makes it an
important evolutionary step from the original Mbox.
Along
with its flexible hardware interface, Mbox 2 includes the
easy-to-use, award-winning Digidesign® Pro Tools LE™ software,
which offers many of the same features that top studios rely on to
record, edit, mix, and master commercial albums and produce sound
for blockbuster films. In addition, Mbox 2 comes with the Pro Tools
Ignition Pack 2 — an impressive collection of powerful plug-ins,
creative applications, and additional tools to help professionally
produce and promote music. With the addition of the Pro Tools
Ignition Pack, Mbox 2 includes more than 50 plug-ins and
instruments.
