Designed by the same team behind Mackie's best-selling compact active loudspeakers, the Thump TH-15A Active Loudspeaker provides amazingly accurate response from 20kHz all the way down to 40Hz. Onboard electronics include full system protection packed into a durable polypropylene enclosure, making TH-15A the most lightweight powerhouse in its class. Not only a superb PA enclosure for pole-mounted FOH positions, it also makes a superb monitor wedge.

The two-way bass reflex (ported) design provides excellent low frequency extension, and its 1" compression driver ensures smooth, wide dispersion. The TH15A is a bi-amplified design: 150W for the 15" woofer and 50W for the HF horn. New Class D circuitry drives the woofer more efficiently than competing designs.

An Active crossover network divides the frequencies, and time aligns the signals sent to the LF and HF amplifier stages. A 3-band equalizer at the input stage provides convenient tonal control with an available 15dB boost or cut at 80Hz, 100Hz through 8kHz (sweepable) and 12kHz. Each driver/amplifier has independent thermal protection and its own compression circuit to prevent damage from transient loads. An over-excursion filter protects the woofer from bottoming-out when the low-end is driven to the maximum.
